The brief for this assignment was to build a website based around a visual artist of our chosing. The artist I chose is Willard Wigan who is an exceptional artist that can create microscopic artwork that sits in the eye of a needle.

This site features a sticky footer where the image of the artist is always positioned at the bottom for maximum effect. The photo gallery utilizes Galleria jquery plugin and the video gallery is using prettyPhoto plugin. Both of which have been customised to suit the style of this site. The contact form is javascript-based.

The brief was to create a web version of an imaginary interactive kiosk for the Auckland Museum to educate, engage, and entertain kids aged between 5 to 10.

This 3-week assignment focused on putting together Flash skills learned (Animation, AS3 and XML) while balancing functionality, interactivity, and usability aspects throughout. In order to make this fun for the kids, a game has also been incorporated into the story line.

This is a completely new site for Activo IT Limited who offers consulting services on IT architectural solutions to large corporations. A list of objectives were discussed & agreed upon with the client. The site needed to convey corporate professionalism, the services they offer with case studies, client testimonials, a news section, and a contact form.

This site was custom-built using Wordpress, PHP & MySql programming skills to provide the client with an easy-to-use interface to access & edit site content & change out images. The images were specifically chosen to provide viewers with a quick understanding of the kind of service they offer.

Wing It

This was a 3-week group assignment which required creating a website for a fictional travel company where customers can choose from pre-packaged options or make up their own travel itineraries & confirm booking.

We were split into different roles and I was the back-end developer for this project. It was challenging but exciting as it required developing several customised templates to display content in a smart way (e.g. related activities, accomodation & transport options by region) that would also allow for easy management of content by the client. The functionality of the itinerary cart and search field, which also features AJAX, were custom-made into Wordpress plugins. Items placed in the itinerary cart can be confirmed on the booking form as well.

BDO

The brief for this 2-week assignment focused on designing the logo and brand concept for this event with sponsorship advertising in mind. Banner adverts are placed above the fold with sponsorship logos visible at all times. The prettyPhoto jquery plugin has been used to provide functionality to the photo gallery.
